This Crazy Friday

We all live for Friday. Friday is the entrance to a world of opportunity. Opportunity to spend time with family. Opportunity to get things done around the house. Opportunity to rejuvenate and refresh. If you are anything like me though, most weekends these opportunities pass quickly and I am left wondering what happened to my weekend. 

This crazy Friday is different. This crazy Friday is the entrance into a universe of opportunity.  This crazy Friday is the beginning of spring break. A break all teachers long for each year. A break that marks the beginning of warmth, sunshine, and hints of summer approaching.

On this crazy Friday I will walk (let's be honest...sprint) out the door with my bag packed full of promises. Promises to finish grading this stack of papers. Promises to send those 5 emails. Promises to finish this lesson plan. Promises that are sure to be broken. Because if we are being honest with ourselves, in this crazy life, on this crazy Friday, it is crazy to think that bag will even leave my car.
